Payment Policy

Losing someone you love is a devastating experience. It can be very traumatic and seriously impact one’s judgement. Therefore, it is important to be realistic with respect to funeral expenditures.


One of the most important responsibilities we have to each family we are priviledged to serve is to listen and bring your emotional and financial needs together, whatever the circumstances may be. We do not want your choices to be more than is affordable, nor less then you would like to arrange. 


We will listen to your needs. We pride ourselves on not offering “packages” where families are only allowed to purchase from those packages and may not want or need something that is included in that package. We prefer to offer a range of a la carte services and merchandise so that families are only selecting those items which they desire. 


We understand the importance of a meaningful service and are here to assist you in any way we can. As part of our consultation with your family, we will discuss the different available payment options. Our goal is to ensure that the services and merchandise you select will be in keeping with your wishes, as well as your budget. 


Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., has established the following uniform payment policy. This payment policy enables us to keep the cost down for all the families we serve, as well as treat everyone fairly.


METHODS OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED:

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • VISA, Mastercard, American Express
  • Insurance Assignment


CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:

If the family opts to use a credit card for payment, charges over $500.00 will incur a 3% service fee to cover the fees assessed by the credit card company.

Credit card payments may also be made online through our website at wiedemanfuneralhome.com.


BILLING POLICY:

Our funeral home will mail a final statement 7-10 days after the services are concluded. 


It is our policy that 30 days after the date of the funeral, payment is due in full if there are sufficient assets to cover the bill or an insurance assignment to the funeral home is given. If there are no assets or insurance, payment is due at the time of service.


Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. reserve the right to charge 1% per month for any charges not satisifed within 30 days. 


INSURANCE ASSIGNMENTS:

We accept insurance policy assignment, under the following conditions: 

The policy must be verified by our staff to be in force

The policy must be assignable, and payable to Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.


LENDING USA:

If a family wishes to secure a loan, we offer a program through Lending USA which provides loans specifically for funeral expenses. Our funeral directors can provide you with information on this program. For more information on the Lending USA program, please click here


ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:

We do not finance or extend credit. If a long-term payment plan is desired, a bank, credit union or loan company of the family’s choice shall be used to provide payment.
