Green Burial Options

WHAT IS GREEN BURIAL?

Green, or natural burial is a way of caring for the deceased with minimal environmental impact that aids in the conservation of natural resources, reduction of carbon emissions, protection of worker health, and the restoration and/or preservation of habitat. Green burial necessitates the use of non-toxic and biodegradable materials, such as caskets, shrouds, and urns. (Source: Green Burial Council) 

WILLOW PACKAGE

 Our Willow green burial option includes:

  • Transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home
  • Sanitation, shrouding and/or casketing of the deceased for identification (in approved green burial products)
  • Immediate family identification during normal business hours (Gathering time of 30 minutes)
  • Refrigeration (up to 4 days)
  • Use of facilities for above procedures
  • Arrangements consultation with family for selected services, notifications, obtaining necessary signatures and authorizations
  • Preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and consents.
  • Contacting and arranging with other outside agencies, such as newspapers, cemetery, florist, clergy, etc.
  • Transfer to cemetery for graveside service
  • Cost of approved green burial casket not included.

DUNE GRASS PACKAGE

Our Dune Grass Package green burial option includes:

  • Transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home
  • Sanitation Shrouding of the deceased for identification (in approved green burial products)

  • Refrigeration (up to 4 days)
  • Use of facilities for above procedures
  • Arrangements consultation with family for selected services, notifications, obtaining necessary signatures and authorizations
  • 100 Memorial Folders and 1 Register book
  • Preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and consents.
  • Contacting and arranging with other outside agencies, such as newspapers, cemetery, florist, clergy, etc.
  • Transfer to cemetery for graveside service
  • Cost of approved green burial casket not included.

Our Wildflowers green burial option includes:

  • Transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home
  • Sanitation, shrouding and/or casketing of the deceased for identification (in approved green burial products)
  • Immediate family identification during normal business hours (Gathering time of 30 minutes)
  • Refrigeration (up to 4 days)
  • Use of facilities for above procedures
  • 1 Hour Visitation and Funeral Service following Vistation in the funeral home
  • 100 Memorial Folders and 1 Register book
  • Arrangements consultation with family for selected services, notifications, obtaining necessary signatures and authorizations
  • Preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and consents.
  • Contacting and arranging with other outside agencies, such as newspapers, cemetery, florist, clergy, etc.
  • Transfer to cemetery for final committal.
