William David Palmer, 83, of Highspire PA, was born on September 17, 1942, and passed away on December 20, 2025 surrounded by love. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend known for his strong work ethic and great sense of humor.

Bill worked for many years as the head maintenance worker at BELCO and took pride in hard work both on the job and at home. He continued working on projects around the house right up to the end. He loved bowling with his friends and spending time playing Pinochle with his family. Although his faith was private, he believed in Jesus.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Louise; his son, Aaron and wife Emily; his grandchildren, Elijah, Kayleigh, and Rebekah, one brother John Palmer, and three sisters, Joan Campbell, Mary Hackenburger and Carolyn Pratt. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 118 State St, Harrisburg, PA 17101. A viewing will be held in the church prior to service from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
