Obituary
William C. " Bill" Cuddy, 81, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
Born in Harrisburg, on August, 4, 1940, the son of the late Chester and Jane Cuddy. Bill was retired from Bethlehem Steel after 26 years, and then worked and retired from the Dauphin County Prison as a corrections officer. Bill was also a volunteer firefighter with Allison Hook and Ladder Co. # 2 of Harrisburg, and the former treasurer with the Paxtang Lions Club.
Bill is survived by his wife, Josephine L. (Miller) Cuddy, of Harrisburg; two sons, Brian D. Cuddy and his wife Cheryl of Dauphin, and Dr. Michael A. Cuddy, of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Jaimee Cuddy and Brett Cuddy.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqueline (Heck) Cuddy, and one sister Janice Hewitt.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin, with the Rev. Philip G. Burger, officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the St. Francis Soup Kitchen 1439 Market St. Harrisburg PA 17103.
