Vivian Lou (Calhoun) Brashears, of Middletown and formerly of Steelton, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Born in Steelton on September 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Vivian (Vaughn) Calhoun. She was the widow of Charles H. Brashears, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1976. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rick Brashears; and her sisters Virginia Brashears, Vera Martin, and Sandy Yetter.

Vivian worked as a Receptionist for the PA Food Merchants Association. She was a lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Steelton. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 919 in Steelton. She is survived by several nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg St, Oberlin, PA 17113. Burial will follow at Churchville Cemetery. A Visitation will be held in the funeral home prior to service from10:00 AM-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church at 39 N 2nd St, Steelton, PA 17113.
