Sylvia Louise Vazquez, 44, of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Born in Harrisburg on August 30, 1981, she was the daughter of the late Charles Schoffstall and Harriet L. (Demmy) Beistline. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Barry Beistline; aunts Donna Signor, Louise Hare, and Linda Head; uncles Harvey Demmy and William Schoffstall; and cousin, Elvis Patrick.

Known as “Aunt Sia” by her friends and family, Sylvia loved nature and was in tune with the earth. She was a loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Sylvia is survived by her sister, Donna Siler; nieces and nephews William Stagemyer, Christian Siler (Jackie), and Emma Parkovic-Foltz (Griffin); and her great-nieces Scarlett, Sophia, Izabella, and Madelyn; as well as a large extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg St, Oberlin, PA 17113. A Visitation will be held in the funeral home prior to service from 2:30 PM-3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Liver Foundation at www.liverfoundation.org
