Shirley Covert's Obituary
Shirley M. Covert, 78, of Ecumenical Retirement Community, died Monday, January 2, 2023 at the home.
She was a retired Customer Service Representative for Nationwide Insurance Company, was very involved in Girl Scouts and was a volunteer for the Dauphin County Library System, where she was named the 2015 volunteer of the year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Catherine Covert; one brother, Jack Covert, two sisters; Louise Covert and Isabel Neidlinger.
Shirley is survived by; one brother, Eldie Covert; two sisters; Rose Neidlinger and Mary Umberger; 10 nieces and nephews; 24 great nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews; .
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., 357 South Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Rev. Ken Shaffer, Pastor, Progress Church of God, Harrisburg. Burial in Rolling Green Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dauphin County Library System, 101 Walnut St. Harrisburg PA 17101.
