Rosemary T. Rodgers Flamini, 88, of Steelton, died Sunday, February 7, 2021.
She was a graduate of Harrisburg Catholic High School Class of 1950 and at the age 66 obtained her Bachelors of Arts Degree from Penn State University in 1998. She was a retired Administrative Assistant at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, a member of the former St. James Roman Catholic Church, Steelton and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Past President of its Parish Council of Catholic Women, Past President of the Penn State Harrisburg Alumnae Assn., a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Assn., an avid volunteer with the Susquehanna Art Museum, served as secretary for the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame for many years and a member of the Nittany Lions Club.
Rosemary was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary Ellen Lawler Rodgers and is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Henry M. Flamini; one son, Frank J. Flamini and his wife, Valerie C. of Wormleysburg; one daughter, Ellie Flamini and her husband, Kane Smeltz of Lower Paxton Twp.; two brothers, Raymond R. Rodgers of Swatara Twp. and Bill Rodgers and wife, Mary Alice of Lower Paxton Twp.; four grandchildren, Hannah Flamini, Lydia Smeltz, Michael Flamini and Amelia Smeltz; and many loving nieces and nephews and a host of many loving friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12:30 pm in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S. Second St., Steelton with Very Rev. David L. Danneker, her Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm in her church. Current COVID-19 restrictions will be enforced. Face masks and social distancing will be required.
