Raymond E. Lopatic, Sr., 87, originally of Steelton , passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 with family by his side at The Woods at Cedar Run. Born in Harrisburg on September 30,1938, he was the son of the late Stanley J. Lopatic, Sr. and Doris (Govelovich) Lopatic. He was also preceded in death by his son Michael J. Lopatic (Chinch Lopatic) and brother Stanley J. Lopatic, Jr.

Raymond was a Police Officer for Swatara Township Police Department until his retirement. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #74, St. Lawrence Club Lodge #13, the Croatian Fraternal Union, and the Friendship Fire Company Club. He was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church.

Raymond is survived by his son, Raymond E. Lopatic, Jr.; brothers Stephen Lopatic, Thomas Lopatic, and Richard Lopatic (MariBeth); and sisters Patricia Sypniewski (Joseph), Carol Marion, Irene Lopatic, Donna Casciotti (Michael), Karen Sallinger, and Maria Panagopoulos (John).Those who will also cherish his memory are his six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter to whom he was known as PopPop; and Uncle Ray to his many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, 2800 Paxton Church Ra, Harrisburg, PA 17110, with Rev. Leo Goodman, Pastor, as Celebrant. A Viewing will be held in the church prior to Mass from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family.
