Phyllis E. Forney 89, of Oberlin, passed Wednesday June 14, 2023, peacefully in her home, with her loving family by her side.

Phyllis was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Halterman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Forney, her two sons, Mark and Brian Forney and sister, Betty Goss.

She is survived by her grandson, Randy Forney (fiancée Rosalyn Keller) and great granddaughter, Raelyn Forney; her daughter-in-law, Deb Forney, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she adored.

She was a typist at Novengers for many years from where she retired, and then became a homemaker.

She loved to spend time with family and friends and was very active with various activities.
She loved her 2 kitties, and attended her church regularly.

A Memorial Service for Phyllis will be held on Saturday July 8, 2023 at 10am in Neidig Memorial United Methodist Church, 1251 Highland Street, Steelton, PA 17113 with a gathering to follow.
