Patricia A. "Pat" Zimmerman

Patricia A. “Pat” Zimmerman, 86, of Hershey, passed away on Monday, July 21 at Country Meadows, Hershey. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Jones) Zimmerman. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Janet Phillips.

Pat was born and raised in Steelton where she graduated from Steelton High School, Class of 1956 and Shippensburg State College, Class of 1960 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. She began her teaching career with Logan Area Junior High School in Altoona in 1960 and later retired from East Pennsboro School District after 28 years in 1993.

Pat was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa- Kappa Chapter, East Penn Red Hats, and the East Pennsboro Historical Society. She enjoyed having lunch with her high school mates for 50 years and traveling to foreign countries.

Pat is survived by her niece, Christy Phillips; nephew, Charles Phillips; and 3 great nephews, Tyler Sener, and Sean and Brandon Phillips.

There will be no viewing or services. Private interment will take place in Hummelstown Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
