Obituary

Mildred (Watts) Campbell, 78, of Steelton, passed away at Oak Hill Center for Nursing and Rehab on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ada Brown Watts. She was the loving wife of Thomas Campbell, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Mildred was a member of the Elizabethtown Legion and the St. Lawrence Club. She enjoyed cooking, leatherwork, ceramics, upholstery in her younger years, and sold Avon in Steelton for 20 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be very much missed.
In addition to her husband, Mildred is survived by her children Regina Bere (husband, Steven), Renee Davis, Patty Campbell (husband, John Cerjanic), Thomas Campbell, II (wife, Barb), and Robert Campbell (wife, Kim); 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; her siblings Shelby Wolfe (husband, Melvin), Ronald Watts (wife, Debra), Darlene Witmer (husband, Doug), Theresa Spohn, Anita Eckstrom (husband, Neil), Lennie (Horace) Brown, Jr. (wife, Joanne), daughter-in-law Lucy Campbell, and Gerald Watts; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Dwayne Campbell; her stepfather Horace Brown, Sr.; and her stepmother, Shirley Barrick Watts.
A Viewing will take place at Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 S Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, PA 17113 on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. A Funeral Service will immediately follow with Rev. Dr. Alan Wenrich officiating. Committal will take place at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org http://www.stjude.org.
