Mika Gabriella Burrage, 28, of Lemoyne, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center after facing cancer with extraordinary courage. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on June 28, 1998, she was the beloved daughter of James Renaldo Burrage and Jane Wendy (Jonson) Panza.
Mika was a beautiful soul whose greatest joy was making others smile. She embodied love, joy, goodness, and a deep appreciation for life. Even through the profound suffering of cancer, she met each day with courage and continued to share her warmth with those around her. Her infectious smile and laughter softened hearts and made the world feel a little brighter. She could find humor even in the scariest horror movie, turning moments of fear into laughter shared with the people she loved. Fearless and generous, Mika found joy in both life’s adventures and its simple moments. She gave of herself freely—to her family, her loved ones, and even strangers—with kindness and a readiness to help anyone in need. Her light lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered with deep tenderness for her kindness, intelligence, and the love she so generously shared.
Mika graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School with the class of 2017 and dreamed of becoming a nurse, a calling that reflected her caring heart. Halloween was her favorite time of year. She enjoyed horror movies and video game streams, and cherished watching the Harry Potter series with her mom, father, and sisters. She loved children, was a devoted godmother, and embraced being a young, fun, and proud aunty. She delighted in thrift shopping for antiques and collecting handbags. Traveling with her mother and spending time at home with friends or her beloved fiancé, Miguel, were among the moments she treasured. Whether exploring somewhere new or simply being with those she loved, Mika found happiness in the connections that made her life her own.
In addition to her parents, Mika is lovingly remembered by her fiancé, Miguel Joseph Landeros; her sisters, Alana Burrage and Michelle Love; her stepmother, Chanda Burrage; her stepbrother, Farris Tuner, III; her grandmother, Mama Cosandra Burrage; and her godson, Miles; as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Each carries memories of her smile, her laughter, and the love she brought into their lives. She was preceded in death by her dear friend Alexis “Lexi” Hendrickes, who passed away in 2016. Mika will be deeply missed and forever held close in the hearts of her family and all who loved her.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Mika’s life at a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, PA 17113. Visitation will be held at the funeral home before the service, from 10:00 AM–11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mika’s memory to The American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society.
