Michael J. Carricato, 86, of Harrisburg, passed away surrounded by family in his home on Monday, December 1, 2025. Born in Harrisburg on August 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Michael G. and Mary (Otzel) Carricato. He was the loving husband of Carol A. (Cope) Carricato, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.

Michael was a 1957 graduate of Harrisburg Catholic High School. He worked for several railroads throughout his career as a Client Services Representative, including Reading, PA, Conrail, and Norfolk Southern Railroads. He enjoyed computers and taught many coworkers throughout the country on how to use computer programs within the company. In his spare time, he loved to travel with his family and went on many cruises around the world.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his daughter, Sandra Julian and husband Dave; granddaughter Laura Houghton and husband Justin; great-grandchildren Adelyn and Alexander; and sister Mary Jo Hollingshead of Cambria, CA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Annette Carricato and Linda Carricato; and 3 siblings.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, PA 17113. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A Viewing will take place in the funeral home prior to service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM.
