Mary J. Bowker, 89, of Harrisburg, passed away on April 22, 2023 in UPMC West Shore Hospital. She was born December 7, 1933 in Harrisburg, daughter to the late Phillip and Angelina Calla.

She was a graduate of John Harris High School and was a retired secretary for the PA House of Representatives. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with family, especially during the holidays.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Aloysius; sisters, Helen, Lucy, Minnie, Rose and Angie and a brother, Phillip. Mary is survived by her son, Stephen (Cathy), one Aunt, Nancy Fulginiti, three grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 11:00 am in St Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the church. There will be no viewing. Internment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a future date. Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin is handling arrangements.
