Luz D. (Rodriguez) Segarra, 87, of Hummelstown, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Amoroso Healthcare & Rehabilitation- Woodridge. Born on March 30, 1938 in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Tomas Maldonado and Eluminada Rodriguez. She was the loving wife of the late Jaime Segarra, Sr., who passed away in 2024.

Luz was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Harrisburg. She loved going to casinos, playing Bingo, and spending time with her family. She was a loving, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed by all.

Luz is survived by her children Jaime Segarra, Jr. and wife Vilma, Jorge Segarra and wife Laura, Hector Segarra and wife Jodi, and Annette Steele and husband Anthony; and grandchildren Natasha Segarra, Cristina Segarra, Anthony Steele, Jr., Alina Steele, Alicia Segarra, and Jorge H. Segarra; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Segarra and her brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg St, Oberlin, PA 17113. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A Viewing will be held in the funeral home prior to service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
