Linda S. Sibert, 64, of Stephenson, Virginia and formerly of Hershey, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in Martinsburg VA Hospice, Martinsburg, West Virginia.
She was a Girl Scout for over 50 years, who in later years worked alongside her Mother, Georgie who was a Girl Scout Leader. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a Major in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She continued her studies at York College and Received her Masters in Nursing. Linda joined the United States Navy Nursing Corps during the Gulf War. Her nursing career spanned over 40 years with specialties in Critical Care and Cardiology. She devoted her life to nursing and Patient Care and was a Critical Care Nurse for Valley Health - Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.
Linda loved everything Mickey Mouse and the magic that is Disney. She traveled to Disney World 3-4 times a year with friends and co-workers. She also enjoyed and look forward to her annual trips to Universal Studios at Christmas with her niece, Amanda. Linda and Amanda had a very special bond.
She joins her dad, Robert L. Sibert in Heaven and was survived by her mother, Georgiana B. Sibert; two brothers, Donald Sibert & wife Lauri, Evergreen, CO and William A. Sibert & wife Tammy, Harrisburg; two nieces, Erin & Amanda Sibert; one nephew, Thomas Sibert and many friends and co-workers who will all miss her very much.
Graveside services & burial along with her mother, who passed away on January 23, 2026, will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 10:00 am in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
Guests planning to attend should arrive behind the administration building no later than 9:45 am and remain in your vehicle and wait for direction from funeral home staff. At the designated service time, a cemetery representative will escort all vehicles to the committal shelter, where the outdoor services will be held. For GPS purposes, please use the address provided below to arrive at the correct location, and do not use "Fort Indiantown Gap," as this will direct you to the military base.
