Lewis Leroy McSurdy

Lewis Leroy McSurdy, 71, of Middletown, passed away at home on Friday, July 4, 2025. Born in Shenandoah Heights, PA, he was the son of the late Leroy Fenmore and Helen (Scholtis) McSurdy.

Lewis loved old movies and reading, and he enjoyed going to family picnics. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who will be missed by all.

Lewis is survived by his sister, Joan Wynn and her husband Charles of Middletown; his nephews Charles L. Wynn and wife April, Matthew J. Wynn and wife Sheila, and Casey D. Clark and wife Jill; and his niece Kyra Clark-Lutz and husband Chad; as well as 5 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Paine.

A Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, PA 17113. Burial will follow at Middletown Cemetery. A Visitation will be held in the funeral home prior to service from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM.
