Kelly Dee (Romberger) Matthews, 48, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, with family by her side. Born in Harrisburg on July 13, 1978, she was the daughter of the late Richard M. Romberger, Jr. and Janet F. (West) Winters. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard M. Romberger, Sr. and Betty (Dunkle) Romberger; and her stepfather William “Bill” Winters.

Kelly enjoyed cooking, baking, and coloring; but her children were most important to her. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Kelly is survived by her children Todd Waltz, Justin Waltz, Makaila Waltz, Peyton Matthews, and Elijah Matthews; her husband Christian Matthews; her brothers Matthew Romberger and Joshua Winters; and 7 grandchildren; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 357 S Harrisburg St, Oberlin, PA 17113 to offset funeral expenses.
