Obituary

Josephine (Golob) McAnulty of Oberlin passed away peacefully on July 16th, at the wonderful age of 86. She is survived by her two sons, her four grandchildren, five sisters, and dozens of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Leo McAnulty, her brother and one of her sisters. A remarkable woman who loved life, loved family, and loved her grandchildren most of all. She earned degrees from West Chester and Penn State and enjoyed a decades-long career in education that she kicked off with three years in Italy soon after graduating West Chester and continued for more than twenty years after returning to Pennsylvania. She loved to travel, especially when living abroad; she loved being with and around family; and she loved to cook and bake, having several notoriously good dishes and desserts. A constant giver and role model—a true independent and modern woman all of her life.
