Johnathan R. Thompson, 43, of Middletown, passed away at home on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Born in Manassas, VA on January 18, 1982, he was the son of Terry Thompson and the late Barbara (Cassell) Thompson. He was the loving husband of Cheyanne (Heckard) Thompson, with whom he shared 10 years of marriage.
Johnathan was a Mechanic and loved all things cars and motorcycles. He also enjoyed video games. He was an avid fan of Ohio State Football and the Buffalo Bills. He was an amputee and known as the “One Legged Mechanic.” Most of all, he was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and son who will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife and father, Johnathan is survived by his children Montana Thompson, Trenton Thompson, and Carlee Stump; his brothers Stacey Edward Thompson and his wife LaRita and Leon Thompson; and his father-in-law Paul Heckard. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son Braiden Michael; sister Samantha Thompson; and mother-in-law Vicki Heckard.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025 in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, PA 17113. Burial will follow in Churchville Cemetery. A Viewing will take place in the funeral home prior to service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Amputee Coalition at amputee-coalition.org; or to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org
