John D. Notz, 68, of Mechanicsburg died Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

John was a retired truck driver and a member of the Faith Tabernacle Congregation Church. He served his country in both the Army and Air Force reserves. He loved God, Country and his family, and was an avid hunter. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and snorkeling where he earned the nick name "Killer Whale".

John was preceded in death by his parents, Johannes and Virginia Notz; his first wife, Dolly; brother, Ross; and granddaughter Kylee. He is survived by, his wife, Lillian M. Foster Notz; his children; Tonya Lucas, Lindsey Foster and husband John, Amanda Kuykendall and husband Keith and John David Notz II and wife Becca; grandchildren, Makaylie, Amara, Kolin, Ashton, Brinley, Braxton, Grayson, Rowan, Sawyer, Emersyn, Remy and Gage; and Siblings, Rick, Roger, Robby, Larry, Danny, Doug, Janie and Ginger.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 12:00 noon in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Pastor Rowland G. Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. A Viewing Will be held on Thursday from 9:30 am until 12:00 Noon in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St. Oberlin PA 17113 to help with Funeral Expenses.
