Joan Marie Kelly, 73, of Harrisburg, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 with family by her side. Born in Steelton on January 3, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Heffelfinger, Jr. and Doris Jean (Shank) Heffelfinger. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Benjamin Heffelfinger, III.

Joan enjoyed puzzlebooks and knitting. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, William Kelly; her children Vicki Harris (Richard), Tara Headen (Brian), Tina Kelly, and William Kelly, Jr.; grandchildren Michael Heffelfinger, Nicole Heffelfinger, Parish Jones, Anthony Harris, Sade Griffin (William), Sharif Harris (Darielle), Kyhein Harris, John Smith, Royale Presley, Brianna Atkinson, and Riley Atkinson; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wiedeman Funeral Home at 357 S Harrisburg St, Oberlin, PA 17113 to offset funeral expenses.
