Javier R. Bartolo,81, of Steelton, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. Born in Etucuaro, Mexico, he was the son of the late Rafael and Evangelina (Rodriguez) Bartolo. He was the loving husband of Esperanza (Soto) Bartolo, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage.

Javier was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish. He loved music and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Javier is survived by his children Rafael Bartolo, Hilda Bartolo, Manuel Bartolo, Vianey Bartolo, Edgar Bartolo, and Thania Bartolo; his grandchildren Luz, Chris, Javier, Heidy, Leslie, Sheila, Claudia, Jose-Manuel, Alex, Valente, and Julian; and his great-grandchildren Xavier, Mia, Eliana, Uriel, Mateo, and Anais. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Javier Bartolo, and his sister, Hilda Bartolo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1439 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103. A Viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg St, in Oberlin.
