Janet I. (Zimmerman) Phillips

Janet I. Zimmerman Phillips, 86 of Harrisburg died Monday June 23, 2025 in the Capitol Rehabilitation Center, Harrisburg.

She was the owner/operator of Model Trains Outlet, her and her husband Charles traveled all over the USA and Canada doing train shows. She was a graduate of Steelton High School class of 1956 and had attended Shippensburg State Teachers College and Business School.

Janet was the daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Frances Zimmerman and wife of the late Charles "Chase" Phillips, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage until his passing in 2017. They were married in Lincoln, NE and stationed there for 3 1/2 years until Charles was discharged from the Air Force, then they returned home to Harrisburg.

She is survived by, one son; Charles E. Phillips Jr., one daughter; Christy Phillips, three grandsons; Sean and Brandon Phillips and Tyler Sener and her twin sister Patricia Zimmerman.

Graveside Services and burial will be held on Thursday July 3, 2025 at 11:30 am in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd. Annville. There will be no viewing or visitation. Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin are handling arrangements.
