Janet Crist

Janet L. Crist, 81, of Bressler, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. Born in Steelton on February 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William and Victoria (Todeff) Crist. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Vicki Duncan, and her loving partner Jack Etnoyer.

Janet was a proud Steelton native and supported the Steel High Rollers throughout her life. She was also an avid football fan- especially when it came to the Kansas City Chiefs and Penn State. Most of all, she loved being a mother and grandmother and would enjoy spending time with her daughter and granddaughter.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Tracy Ramsey (Nick); her granddaughter, Vianna Ramsey; and her sister, Donna Ritchey; and her beloved grand-dog Dougie; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 18, 2025 in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, PA, with V. Rev. Timothy Hojnicki officiating. Burial will follow at Churchville Cemetery. A Viewing will be held in the funeral home prior to service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. Guests are encouraged to wear purple, as that was Janet’s favorite.
