Ivan "John" Vranicar, 89, of Oberlin died Monday April 28, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He retired from the former Stroehmann/Bimbo Bakeries, Harrisburg. John was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, St. Lawrence CFU Lodge, Dutch Club, St. Mary's Club and the Baja Hunting Club.

John was the son of the late Anton and Bara Vranicar was preceded in death by, one son, John A. Vranicar; and siblings Jane Vranicar, Franjica Knezetic, Amalija Nastav, Anton and Franjo Vranicar. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia "Sally" Vranicar; one son, Michael D. Vranicar (Griselda); one daughter, Carolyn Deimler (Mike); 5 grandchildren, Benjamin Deimler, Jacqueline Ruhnke, Fernando, Edwin and Garrett Vranicar; and one great-grandson, Christopher.

Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Wiedeman Funeral Home, Oberlin are in charge of arrangements.
