Obituary

Henry Clement Tamanini, 72, of Highspire, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Born in Danville, Pennsylvania on October 29, 1953, he was the son of the late Henry and Agnes (Yakim) Tamanini. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Caroline Wolf.

Henry graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School in 1971 before earning his bachelor's degree from Penn State University in 1975. He dedicated much of his career to public service through the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), where he worked in Emergency Management until his retirement.

A lifelong lover of music, Henry found great joy behind the keys of his accordion, sharing his love of polka music with family, friends, and the community. Whether playing at gatherings, performing at local retirement homes, or simply enjoying a favorite tune, music was one of the ways he connected with those around him. He was also an avid photographer who appreciated preserving life's moments through the lens of a camera, and he enjoyed spending time as a HAM radio operator, a hobby that reflected both his curiosity and love of connecting with others. He was a proud member of St. Lawrence CFU Lodge 13 and the St. Aloysius Club.

Above all, Henry treasured his family. He found his greatest happiness in the time spent with those he loved, celebrating milestones, sharing holidays, and watching his family grow across generations. His quiet kindness, steady presence, gentle sense of humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Henry is survived by Patricia (Fieman) Tamanini, his devoted wife of 33 years; his children, Joseph Tamanini and his wife Lauren, Victoria Levine and her husband Isaac, Jennifer Daley, and Ralph Wolf, Jr.; his cherished grandchildren, Reuben and Eli Levine, Rosaleen, Francis, Mary, and Veronica Daley, and Elizabeth Wolf; as well as several cousins.
