Gloria Starr (Coy) Gould, 93, of Middletown and formerly of Steelton, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Middletown Home. Born in Harrisburg on March 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Myrl and Irene (Brannan) Coy. She was the loving wife of the late Donald M. Gould, who passed away in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Chryseia Brennan and Donna Albritton; brothers Brannan Coy, Jay Coy, Sonny Coy, and Juny Coy; and sisters Wreatha Burkett, Sherry Zilinski, and Sis Hess.

Gloria was an active member of the former St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Steelton, where she volunteered in the kitchen, then became a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for Moose Lodge 382. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and baking and solving crossword puzzles. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Beth Bupp; her 3 grandsons Neil Holloway, Cole Holloway, and Anthony Miller; and her great-grandchildren Annabelle and Eleanor.

The family would like to thank Pastor Dan and Pastor Tim as well as the nurses and staff at The Middletown Home (C Hall), that cared for the residences and provided special attention to Gloria. They would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Brenda, a resident from the independent section on the home. She helped Gloria daily with activities and special events brightening her final years.
