Gavin Joseph Long

Gavin Joseph Long, 20, of Dauphin, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Born in Hershey, PA on November 23, 2004, he was the son of Brian Long and Cynthia “Cindy” (Feguer) Long.

Born with an adventurous heart and an infectious smile, Gavin brought light and laughter everywhere he went. His genuine kindness, boundless energy, and zest for life made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a passion for vehicles, particularly dirt bikes, motorcycles, four-wheelers, and trucks. Gavin also enjoyed spending time at the beach, boating, bowling, and caring for animals, especially his dogs, Patches and Rebel. Gavin’s spirit was one of warmth, joy, and unwavering generosity. His legacy is woven into the memories of all who cherished him, reflected in the countless lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.

Most of all Gavin was a loyal and loving father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend who will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to his parents, Gavin is survived by his son, Brooks Gerbig; his sister Jocelyn Long; his paternal grandparents David and Karen Long; and his maternal grandparents James and Carol Feguer; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Chris Long, and his great grandparents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, PA 17113. A Visitation will take place prior to service from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
