Eugene J Gregorits, Jr. of Harrisburg, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. He was born on May 04,1942 to the late Eugene Gregorits Sr. and Lillian Gregorits. Eugene was a member of Saint Catherine Laboure Parish. He was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School where he excelled in football after high school he graduated from Salem College, Salem West Virginia. After college he taught Health and Physical Education at Trinity High School and Steelton Highspire High School. He coached football at Steelton Highspire High School for several years. He was affectionately known as "Mean Gene" at Steel High.

Gene was happily married for 59 years and is survived by his loving wife Donna: daughter, Amy and her husband Chris, son Chad: grandchildren Brianna, Alivia, Christian and Ashlee and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 11:00 am in Saint Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg with Fr. Josh Weaver as celebrant. A Viewing will be held in the church prior to service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Catherine Laboure School or Bishop McDevitt High School. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
