Eloise F. "Weezie" (Shay) Dreese

Eloise Fern "Weezie" (Shay) Dreese, 84, of Elizabethtown, PA passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center. She was born on July 6, 1940 to Herbert and Elsie (Folmer) Shay of Lebanon, PA.

Eloise was preceded in death by her husband of almost 48 years, Robert (Don) Dreese; three brothers Earl, Ralph, and Paul; and two sisters Mabel Glass and Evelyn Kautter. Eloise is survived by two sons and their families: Douglas, Michelle (Lewis), Nathaniel, and Rebekah Dreese of Bellefonte, PA and Derrick, Heather (Hughes), and Stefani Dreese of Carlisle, PA.

Born and raised in Lebanon, PA, Eloise was an active member of the Lebanon Moravian Church. Elosie was a 1958 graduate of Lebanon High School. After marrying Don in 1975, she moved to Chambers Hill and became an active member of Centenary United Methodist Church and Steelton-Swatara Eastern Star Chapter #539 where she was the last Worthy Matron before combining with Hershey Chapter #509. Eloise worked for American Greetings for 23 years before retiring.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Centenary United Church in Steelton, PA. A viewing will be held prior to service from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the church. Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
