Dorothy Krnjaich, 92, of Steelton, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Middletown Home. Born in Harrisburg on March 16, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Veronica Krnjaich.

Dorothy graduated from Swatara High School with the class of 1952. She retired from the PA Department of Labor & Industry after a long and rewarding career. She was devout in her faith and was an active member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church. There she was a member of the Circle of Serbian Sisters, the Serbian American Civic and Educational Club, The St. Nicholas Seniors, the SSS Marinkovich Choir, and the Serbian National Federation. She also loved sports and was an avid Eagles fan.

Dorothy is survived by her goddaughters Dori Bert, Nikki Lewis, Paula Werner, Stephanie York, Lorraine James, and her “Kuma Kata”, as well as her church family and many close friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Middletown Home for their compassionate care for Dorothy.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 1, 2026 at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 601 S Harrisburg St, Steelton, PA 17113, with Rev. Christopher Rocknage, her pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Churchville Cemetery. A Viewing will be held in the church prior to service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM.
