Dolores I. (Poticher) Plesic, 91, of Bressler, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. Born in Harrisburg on June 25, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George Vincent and Manzella (Hoch) Poticher. She was the loving wife of the late Richard E. Plesic, who passed away in 1996.
Dolores was a member of the former St. Peter’s Slovenian Church and later Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish. She was a member of the Bressler Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking and cooking. Her greatest devotion was to God and her family. Her generous and unconditional love for her children and grandchildren will be treasured forever.
Dolores is survived by her children Richard E. Plesic, Jr. and his partner Brenda Speese, and Diane M. Welch and her husband J. Wesley; her grandchildren Richard, III, Christopher, Benjamin, Matthew, Ashley, Daniel, Kara, Megan, Carly, and Marissa; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Carol, Larry, Karen, Gary, and Mike; daughter-in-law Sally Plesic; and son-in-law Anthony Zupanovic; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Mark Plesic, daughter Theresa Zupanovic, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025 in Prince of Peace Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S 2nd Street, Steelton, PA 17113, with Rev. Matthew Larlick, Pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow at Churchville Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation.
