David D. Dormer Sr., 92, of Bressler, died Sunday August 25, 2024 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

David was a retired steel worker for the former Bethlehem Steel Plant of Steelton and also worked grounds maintenance for Dauphin County. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War,was a charter member of Bressler Bible Church, and was a member of the Bressler Club. He loved hunting and fishing, especially at the cabin he built for himself in Huntingdon, PA.

David was the son of the late Henry and Julianna Pauker Dormer. He was preceded in death by two sons, Ray A. and Paul H. Dormer; and he was the widower of Mary Elizabeth Hightower Dormer. He is survived by one son, Pastor Dave Dormer, Jr., Chambers Hill; one daughter, Sandie L. Dormer, Bressler; 3 granddaughters, Tammy Dormer, April Starner and husband Dwayne, and Rayna Novinger and husband Jeremy, and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2024 in the Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St. Oberlin with Pastor Joseph Catani, Officiating. Burial will be in the Churchville Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
