David A. Blottenberger, 64, of Harrisburg passed away at Holy Spirit Hospital on Thursday, May 15 after a difficult battle with bladder cancer.

David graduated from Dauphin County Technical School in 1979 and then got additional training to work in HVAC. Most recently he worked in the Nordstrom warehouse in order fulfillment.

His true passion was auto racing. From an early age, he would watch NASCAR with his Dad. He was a co-owner of a dirt track car he and his friends raced at Williams Grove Speedway and other venues throughout Pennsylvania. He and his Uncle Carl enjoyed attending car shows together in Carlisle and Hershey.

David was the loving son of Jack and Clara Blottenberger. He leaves behind his beloved Uncle Carl and Aunt Eleanor as well as nearly two dozen cousins from both his Mom and Dad’s side and his lifelong friends, Terry and Tammy May.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 357 S. Harrisburg Street, Oberlin. Burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at the conclusion of Services. There will be no viewing or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
