Darrel John Vaughn, 70, of Monroe and formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Elwood and Thelma (Fawber) Vaughn.

John loved reading and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who will be missed by all.

Darrel is survived by his sisters, Darlene Bryant of Monroe, VA; and Deborah Platt, of Harrisburg; as well as four nieces and one nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Darwin Vaughn, and one nephew.

A Graveside Service will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 30, 2025 in Churchville Cemetery, with Rev. Eric Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
