Dakotah N. "Koko" Snyder-Fortney, 25, of Oberlin, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at his home.
Dakotah worked as a Cook for JD''s Junction Restaurant, Middletown, a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, class of 2013, was a member of the Young Marines, Harrisburg and loved playing basketball.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Linda Snyder, and his maternal great grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Requena. Dakotah is survived by his mother, Brandie Fortney, father, Shane Snyder, two brothers, Parker Livingston and Kellan Livingston; one sister, Jasmyn Knoble: maternal grandparents, Fredrick and Sharon Fortney, paternal great grandparents, Leon and Doris Fortney; two aunts, Tiffany (Rick) Brocius and Dana (Ernest) Fry, girlfriend, Sarah Hawthorne, and his best friend, Adrian Ledebohm, he is also survived by numerous cousins and other family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 12:00 pm in Prince of Peace - Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 South Second Street, Steelton, with the Very Rev. David L. Danneker, pastor as celebrant. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 South Harrisburg St., Oberlin. Following the Mass there will be a gathering for Dakotah''s friends and family in the Parish Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959
