Obituary

Charlotte R. "Rusty" (Brubacher) Grubic Gustin. 98, of Palmyra, died Friday, December 23, 2022 in Carolyn''s House of Hospice of Central PA.

She was a graduate of Steelton High School, a retired Executive Secretary for the United Steelworkers of American Local 1688, retiring in 1982. Her second career was Office Manager of MisterBobbin Embroidery in Annville.

Charlotte was a 1958 World Champion Bowler, member of the PA Sports Hall of Fame, a competitive first baseman of the "Roverettes", the State Champion Soft Ball Team and an avid golfer, tennis and basketball player, seamstress and dancer, specifically the jitterbug.

She was the widow Victor T. Grubic and James M. Gustin. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Grubic Riordan; grandchildren, Michael J. Riordan, Jr. and Brian S. Riordan; great grandchildren, Olivia J. Riordan and Savanah Riordan-Quay.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 3:00 pm in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with a visitation from 2:00 until 3:00 pm in the funeral home. Private burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Swatara Twp.
