Charles A. Decker, 85 of Swatara Township, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 in his home.
He was a retired Engineer Supervisor for DuPont-Berg Electronics, Camp Hill, a social member of the Hookies Fire Company in Tyrone, PA, proud member of the Wrestling Hall of Fame of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, where he was a graduate.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, William Decker and Ann I. Miller Decker and is survived by his wife, Joan A. Decker; one daughter, Pamela Huggins & husband Chad; three step-children, Dawn Smith, Debra Poll and William Gessaman & wife Robin; four grandchildren, Rachel Huggins, Sarah Huggins-Heckman & husband Chase "not family", Wesley Gessaman, Julianne Bower & fiancé Ben; great-grandson, Niko; two brothers, Sheldon Decker & wife Diane and Gary Decker & wife Nancy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Decker.
Charles was a loving husband, father, uncle and neighbor who loved rooting for all Pittsburgh sports teams, enjoyed being the Camp Cook at his family hunting cabin. After retirement, he worked the salad bar at the Giant in the Silver Spring Store. In his spare time he enjoyed puzzles, NASCAR and taking care of his freshwater aquarium.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 357 South Harrisburg Street, Oberlin with the Rev. Dr. Alan C. Wenrich, Officiating. Burial at the conclusion of services will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the funeral home.
