Obituary

Some people leave their world with a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.

Catherine “Kitty” Lattuca, 81, peacefully entered her eternal home after a brief illness.

Kitty’s kindness knew no limits, her heart had room for everyone, and her life was defined by giving to others.

The youngest of three girls, Kitty distinguished herself with her signature sense of humor and her distinctly sweet personality. She was intuitive, kind, selfless, and strong. Kitty was an animal rescuer, a people rescuer, and a guardian to those who needed someone to care. She enjoyed a lifelong career as a nurse and her specialty was caring for the elderly.

She gave freely, loved deeply, and asked for little in return. There was little she wouldn’t do for an animal or person. She saw value in lives that others might overlook and offered comfort, hope, and laughter when they were needed most.

Kitty was married for 59 years to Joseph “Buzz” Lattuca, her husband and partner in everything. Their marriage shines as an example of endurance and strength (and perhaps most of all silliness), a lasting mark that will forever be felt by their family.

She is survived by her husband, Buzz and her son, Gregory “Boomer” Lattuca; as well as generations of nieces and nephews who adored their “Aunt Kitty.” She reunites with her son Jeffrey, and all of heaven rejoices at their long-awaited reunion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St, Harrisburg, PA 1711. A Visitation will be held in the church prior to Mass from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM.
