Blake Andrew Szivos, 6, of New Philadelphia, died suddenly on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in his home.
He is survived by his mother, Caitlin Marie Brown, with whom he resided and his father, Andrew Scott Szivos, Harrisburg; one brother and one sister; his maternal grandparents, Jennifer Swartz, Harrisburg and Joseph C. Brown, Jr., New Philadelphia; his paternal grandparents, Theresa L. Quinones and Sheldon Vest, both of Harrisburg; his maternal great grandmother, Cherubina Cortopassi Swartz, Middletown; his maternal great grandfather, Joseph C. Brown, Sr., Mechanicsburg; paternal great grandfather, William P. Szivos, Harrisburg; and a host of aunts and uncles, especially his Uncle Mark, who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandmother, Darla Szivos.
Blake was an energetic, loving and creative individual. He was a superhero enthusiast, loved to watch YouTube Tutorials, and loved Marvel and DC Comics. He was very selfless and put everyone before himself and nobody was a stranger to him. He loved puzzles and Toy Story. His love for his parents, loved Ma''de and DaDa was never-failing.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Rev. Wayne D. Lawton, Officiating. Burial will be Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
