Barbara Mae (Steen) Frederick, 84, of Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Amoroso Healthcare and Rehabilitation Woodridge. Born in Findlay, OH on September 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Gale and Mary Bernadine (Flugga) Steen. She was the loving wife of Pastor Terry O. Frederick, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.

Barbara graduated from Findlay High School with the Class of 1959. She worked for Central Dauphin School District for 27 years as Secretary.

As the Pastor’s wife, Barbara served faithfully alongside her husband in church ministry for 60 years. She served as President of the Eastern Regional Church’s of God Women’s Ministries from 1979-1982. She also worked in children’s ministries in each church served.

Most of all, Barbara was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved to sew, cook, and bake.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her children, Kristin Gabner and her husband Bill, Kristofer Frederick and his wife Kate, and Kathi Huggins and her husband Meade; her grandchildren Jaclyn (Rob), Matthew, and Caleb (Justine); and her great-grandchildren Ryder and Benny.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:30 PM-4:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Swatara Church of God, 4860 Lindle Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
