Alexander Lewis Yoder, 16, of Middletown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of Paul and Amy (Day) Yoder.

Alex was a Sophomore at Middletown Area High School, where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed jet-skiing, and playing video games and Dungeons & Dragons. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Alex is survived by his sister, Katie Yoder; paternal grandmother, Donna Yoder; and maternal grandmother, Susan Day; aunts Valerie Pensyl, and Christine Wooddell; his beloved dog, Dixie; and his not so beloved bird, Ares; as well as several cousins, great aunts and uncles, and his circle of friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry Yoder; and his maternal grandfather, Alden Day.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg St, Oberlin, PA 17113. Burial will follow at Churchville Cemetery. A Viewing will be held in the funeral home prior to service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM.
