Albert N. “Al” Leone, 87, of Lower Paxton Twp., died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Rineer Leone; his parents, Frank and Adelina Leone; sisters, Florence Leone Harlacher, Rose Leone DeSendi, Gennie G. Leone, and Angeline Leone Cerzullo; and a brother, Frank J. Leone. He is survived by two sisters, Victoria Leone Cozzoli of Trenton, NJ and Josephine Leone Bianco of Lake Wynona, Auburn, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Albert was a graduate of John Harris High School, entered the US Army in 1943 and trained with the Infantry and Parachute Infantry. He landed on Utah Beach, Normandy, France July 1, 1944 at St. Maria E’glise, serving on Military Police Guard duty around the Camp. He volunteered to join the 94rh Infantry Division MP’s in Brest, France from September to January 1945. General George Patton called the 94th to go to Metz, E.Verdun, France and assigned his division into the Ardeenes Forrest, and the Battle of the Bulge until the war was over. He earned five battle stars in the European Campaign and was discharged at Indiantown Gap in 1945.
Al was the owner and operator of Weatherguard Inc. since January of 1949 until he
retired in 1998. Al was one of the original “TIN MAN” of the aluminum home improvement
business. He served as Past President of Central Penn National Remodelers Assn.,

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St., Steelton with Rev. Richard C. Harlacher, his nephew and Rev. Kent Conrad, his Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in The Leone Crypt in Paxtang Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
