In Loving Memory....

Margaret "Peg" Smith Fisher, 87, of Lower Paxton Township and formerly of Steelton, died Thursday, August 23, 2012 in M.S. Hershey Medical Center.

She was a graduate of Steelton High School Class of 1943, Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1946, and a retired Registered Nurse from Harrisburg Hospital.  Peg was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Steelton for over 66 years, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, member of Fellowship Club and United Methodist Women, volunteer driver for the SEBO van and Meals on Wheels, and a member of Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Assn, and until the death of her husband, Frank, were "snowbirds".

Peg was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Blanche Lupold Smith and the widow of Frank P. Fisher.  She is survived by one daughter, Judith A. DeLutis and her husband, Dan of Lower Paxton Twp.; two sons, Thomas L. Fisher and his wife, Renee of Lower Swatara Twp. and James A. Fisher and his wife, Stephanie of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Virginia E. Smith of Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren, Ryan DeLutis and wife, Jennifer, Erica Howard and husband, James, Alexandra Fisher, Christy Bleichner, and Scott Fisher; four great grandchildren, Taylor, Brooke, Madelyn and Brayden.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles E. Smith and her stepmother, Anna Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10:30 am in Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. B. Michael Brossman, her pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Paxtang Cemetery.  A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am all in her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.
