Kendra “Candy” Dimond Campbell, beloved wife and loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, died peacefully on February 14, 2012 in Orlando, Florida, after her heroic battle with cancer.
Born in Harrisburg, PA on October 12, 1947, she was the first daughter of the late Albert Kenneth “Ken” Dimond and Spacha P. ”Pat” Dimond.
Kendra was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill, PA. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College, a Master of Arts from Pennsylvania State University, and a Juris Doctorate from Dickinson School of Law.

Most recently, she served as Vice Chair of the Institutional Review Board, IRB, and research consultant at the University of Central Florida and as a member of the IRB Board at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
During her two decades of service in Washington, D.C. she served as Partner at Arent Fox, LLP; Director at Daylight Forensic & Advisory LLC; Director at Huron Consulting Group and Partner at Epstein Becker and Green, P.C.
Kendra also served as Acting Director of the Office of Legislative Policy and Analysis at the National Institutes of Health, NIH. Prior to joining NIH, Kendra was Investigative Counsel to the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging under Senators John Heinz and William S. Cohen. She took great pride in her work with the late Senator Heinz.
Kendra launched her legal career in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where she served as Senior Associate at Duane, Morris and Heckscher as well as Senior Deputy Attorney General, Regional Director, Medicaid Fraud Control Section of the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. Kendra also held the office of Chief Deputy District Attorney of Dauphin County. She worked as a Judicial Law Clerk under the Honorable Roy Wilkinson, Jr. in Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
She began her professional life as a French teacher at Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill, PA and as Assistant Professor, College of Charleston, South Carolina.
An active member of her community, Kendra also taught Sunday school at the Holy Annunciation

Kendra will be lovingly remembered by her husband William Campbell; daughter Elena Marie Lomicky and her husband Joseph; grandson Emerson Leo Lomicky; mother Spacha “Pat” Dimond; sister Sondra “Soni” Dimond Martorana and her husband Kevin. Kendra was preceded in death by her father Albert “Ken” Dimond. All who knew her will miss her gentle nature, her compassion and wise ways, and her ability to create beauty wherever she was.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in Saint Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, 601 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin, with the Very Reverend Stavrofor Srboljub Jockovich and the Very Reverend Arch Priest Michael Slovesko, officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 South Second Street, Steelton.
