Amelia Joan Slatt Zlogar, 85, of Harrisburg , died on January 8, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine Furjanic Slatt of Steelton , PA. She died one month short of her 63 rd wedding anniversary.

Amelia was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Croatian Catholic Church/Prince of Peace Parish, St. Mary's Preservation Society, St. Lawrence Lodge No. 13 Croatian Fraternal Union, St. Lawrence Adult Tamburitzans, and Steelton Tambura Lovers Club.

Along with her husband, she was the owner/operator of Frank Zlogar and Sons Catering Service and the Park Cafeteria in Harrisburg .

She was a loving and generous mother to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid bake and lover her Croatian heritage.

Amelia is survived by her husband, Frank Zlogar; two daughters, Jean and husband James Morehouse of Harrisburg and Joan and husband Tim Nissley of Middletown; four sons, Frank and wife Ruthann of Carbondale, Colorado, Michael and partner Sylvia Rosen of Harrisburg, John and wife Jill of Atlanta, Georgia, and David and wife Julie of Chester Springs; six grandchildren, Jacob, Annaliese, Evan, and Karl Zlogar and Leo and Logan Nissley; brothers-in-law, Richard and wife Nancy Zlogar and William Rittner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Jacob, Thomas, George, and Edward Slatt and sisters, Mary Zugay, Katica Slatt, Rose Slatt, Ann Cackovic, and Elizabeth Koscevic.

Per Amelia's wishes, services will be private. Wiedeman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
