Mary Ellen Gheen Weaver, 83, of Susquehanna Twp., died peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in her home.

She was a retired transcriptionist for Nationwide Insurance Co. and a member of St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, Swatara Twp.

She was the widow of James R. Weaver, Sr. and is survived by two sons, James R. Weaver, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Houston, TX and Ronald J. Weaver and his wife, Constance P. of Harrisburg ; three daughters, Rosemary A. Anthony and her husband, Steven of Harrisburg, Marsha A. Wolfe and her husband, Miles of Camp Hill and Linda M. Schmiedel of Marysville; one sister, Joanne Freundel and her husband, Jack of Bethlehem; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Gheen, Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 11:00 am in St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St. , Swatara Twp. with Rev. Neil S. Sullivan, her Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery , Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 am in her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.
