Elizabeth M. "Lil" Stanisic Shroy, 75, of Oberlin and formerly of Steelton's West Side, died Monday, January 18, 2010 in her home.

She was retired from the Registration Department of PA Dept. of Transportation and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton.

Lil was the daughter of the late Thomas and Barbara Maljan Stanisic and the widow of Walter E. Shroy. She is survived by two sons, Thomas A. Stanisic and his wife, Darinka of Chambers Hill and Walter S. Shroy and his wife, Trish of Steelton; three sisters, Mary Grovesnor of Highspire, Anne Stanisic and Margaret Iskric, both of Steelton; one brother, Tony Stanisic of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Matthew, Kristina and Joseph Stanisic, and Tiffany, Michael and Summer Shroy; two great grandchildren, Andre and Tiandra Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Nick, Tom and Joseph Stanisic and her sisters, Barbara Verbos, Katie Matan and Helen Yanchuleff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James M. Lyons, her Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St., Steelton.
